Juventus faces salary hurdle as negotiations for premier league star
In what has become a high-stakes transfer saga, Juventus is making calculated moves to bring Jadon Sancho to Turin. The potential deal, however, is facing a significant hurdle Sancho’s salary demands.
Despite this, the passing of time seems to favor Juventus, especially as Chelsea’s interest appears to have stalled with a mere loan swap proposal on the table.
Juventus, under the guidance of sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, is determined to secure Sancho, who would be a marquee addition to their already impressive summer transfer activities.
The current offer involves a paid loan, possibly without an option to buy, but the central issue remains the English winger’s substantial wages, which amount to nearly €20 million gross, with a net figure of €9 million.
Juventus is prepared to cover just over 50% of this amount, setting a maximum limit of €5 million, signaling their serious intent to Manchester United.
The Bianconeri are leading the race but are wary of a possible decisive move from Chelsea. Further discussions between the parties are expected soon, as Juventus looks to finalize the transfer.
