The 25-year-old U.S. international will join Olympique Marseille on a season-long loan for the 2025‑26 campaign before the permanent transfer clause takes effect. His Juventus tenure included 78 appearances, seven goals, and seven assists.

Negotiations had been ongoing for several weeks, with Marseille’s offer ultimately rising to meet Juventus’s demands.

Weah had expressed a clear preference to return to France, having previously played for PSG and Lille, and rejected an earlier approach from Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The West African-born winger had fallen out of favor under Juventus coach Igor Tudor and was seeking regular playing time ahead of the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

Under his new coach at Marseille, Roberto De Zerbi—a manager noted for developing attacking talent—Weah is expected to feature prominently and build momentum heading into the international tournament.

Notably, the move reunites him with former teammate Adrien Rabiot and places him back in Ligue 1. Overall, the package is expected to cost Marseille around €18 million in total, contingent on add-ons.
