Juventus have two main centre-back targets in mind

Juventus are in the need of a centre back in the January transfer window. This is because Bremer suffered an ACL injury at in the Champions League against RB Leipzig and now Juventus have little depth.

You may wonder why Juventus didn’t sign an extra coverage player in the summer window, before Bremer’s injury. This is because Juventus bought in seven players in January including Pierre Kalulu who is a centre back/full back.

All the signings meant that a lot of players left the side. Three players who play centre back that left being Dean Huijsen, Daniele Rugani and Tarik Muharemovic (Muharemovic is on loan). This has left Juventus in need of centre back coverage.

Now Juventus have two options in centre back to sign. David Hancko from Feyenoord or Milan Skriniar from PSG. Both players have advantages and disadvantages for different reason. Both players however are good enough for Juventus.

David Hancko

David Hancko is in my opinion better player for Juventus to sign for multiple reasons. Hancko is a left footed centre back that is currently at Feyenoord. But he could be on his way out depending on how Feyenoord does. If they lose this weekend in the game Feyenoord would go points behind PSV. In that scenario Feyenoord would be in more open to his departure.

The benefits of Hancko are that he is a left footed centre back. He is also in the prime of his career at the age of twenty-seven. He can also score goals from corners with two so far this season. But he would also be very costly as Feyenoord aren’t exactly ready to let go of him.

Milan Skriniar

Milan Skriniar is the second option for Juventus to sign, but I think he should be a mainly be a backup option. I think this because of his age being two years older than Hancko, and he is also in worse form.

But he would be cheaper then Hancko as well, due to him not being wanted at PSG. He also has more expirence in Serie A formely playing for Inter Milan. At the end of the day it will all come down to what Motta wants, and negotians with PSG and Feyenoord.
