Juventus legend and 1982 World Cup winner Marco Tardelli has shared his concerns about the team’s recent performances, pointing out three critical areas coach Igor Tudor must improve if the Bianconeri are to return to their winning ways.

Despite a strong start to the season, Juventus have now gone four matches without a victory in all competitions.

While they have avoided defeat, the string of draws has underlined their inability to turn performances into wins an issue that threatens their title ambitions.

Marco Tardelli looks on ahead of the UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg match between Juventus and Sevilla FC at Allianz Stadium on May 11, 2023.

Tardelli expressed his frustration: “Another draw they’re becoming annoying, especially when focus and determination are missing. And once again, too many goals conceded.

A positive note was Conceição, who changed the game, but it wasn’t enough. Tudor must work on set pieces, the midfield, and the team’s mental toughness.”

The Italian great identified three main concerns:

Set-piece vulnerability – Juventus continue to concede from dead-ball situations.

Midfield weakness – The team lacks the control and energy to dominate matches.

Mental resilience – Players must recover their focus and determination to avoid costly lapses.

Draws may protect an unbeaten record, but they are not enough for a club of Juventus’s stature. Without quick improvements, the Bianconeri risk falling behind rivals who are showing more consistency.
