Juventus looking to bring in another Atalanta star attacker

At the start of the last season, Juventus hired Thiago Motta to replace Max Allegri after Allegri’s second stint ended following the Coppa Italia. Thiago Motta wanted the starting eleven to adapt to his game style instead of Allegri’s.
The player deemed most important to bring in was Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta. It took nearly the entire transfer window, but the deal was finalized for 60 million euros to bring him to Turin. However, Koopmeiners has performed poorly for Juventus.
Koopmeiners’ lack of attacking input and the defensive gaps he created contributed to Thiago Motta’s eventual sacking. His move to Juventus also had an impact on one of his former teammates, Ademola Lookman.
Lookman had wanted to leave Atalanta, like Koopmeiners, at the start of this season. However, due to the prolonged transfer saga, he was forced to stay in Bergamo for another season. Now, he has had a falling out with Atalanta’s current coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, due to some of his comments about Lookman.
Fabrizio Romano has reported on his YouTube channel that Juventus are among the teams interested in signing Lookman. However, several Premier League clubs are also in the race for his signature. Romano didn’t name these clubs, but Liverpool and Arsenal could be reasonable guesses.
This speculation arises because both clubs were previously interested in Lookman and have not signed anyone in his position. Paris Saint-Germain were also linked with Lookman last summer, but they are now unlikely to pursue his signature again.
This is because PSG signed former Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January to bolster their squad. The move has paid off, as they defeated Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16, despite Liverpool being seen as heavy favourites.
