Juventus make big changes to Igor Tudor’s coaching staff
Juventus is undergoing a significant internal transformation not on the pitch just yet, but behind the scenes.
Head coach Igor Tudor, who recently extended his contract with the club until 2027, is assembling a new coaching team at Continassa as the next phase of his leadership begins.
Since his arrival in March, Tudor has been working with a reduced technical staff. This included his close associates Tomislav Rogic (goalkeeping coach) and Ivan Javorcic (assistant coach), both of whom joined him immediately to ensure support during his early days in Turin.
The club had also made available staff members like Riccardo Scirea and Andrea Pertusio, familiar faces from Tudor’s previous spell as Andrea Pirlo’s assistant.
However, with his future now secure, Tudor is moving forward with a full-scale staffing overhaul.
Former Juventus Next Gen midfielder Michele Troiano is set to take a key role in Tudor’s new setup. After most recently serving as assistant coach at Modena under Paolo Mandelli, Troiano will join the Bianconeri’s senior team as one of Tudor’s technical assistants. His responsibilities will include training sessions and match preparations.
Another familiar figure joining the team is Riccardo Ragnacci, who will take up duties in the athletic department.
The 48-year-old previously worked with Tudor at Verona between 2018 and 2022 and brings experience both as a fitness trainer and an injury recovery specialist.
Tudor had hoped to bring Ragnacci to Lazio during his short spell there and now finally reunites with him at Juventus.
Troiano and Ragnacci are only the beginning. Juventus are currently evaluating other candidates to round out Tudor’s staff. The goal is to provide the Croatian coach with a cohesive, dedicated team for the long haul.
As part of this shift, the physiotherapy department is also being reorganized, with new specialists expected to replace much of the old team.
With Tudor now building a team that reflects his vision and style, Juventus’ work at Continassa is far from over and more announcements are likely in the coming weeks.
