Juventus have reportedly decided to include Gleison Bremer in their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, despite the Brazilian defender not yet being fully recovered from a long-term injury.

Bremer has been sidelined for 250 days, with his last appearance coming in October during a UEFA Champions League group stage match against RB Leipzig.

Unfortunately, he tore his ACL just six minutes into that game   a moment widely considered to be the turning point of Juventus’ season.

At the time, the Bianconeri had shown defensive solidity under new head coach Thiago Motta, collecting several clean sheets.

However, Bremer’s injury marked the beginning of defensive instability that plagued the club through the remainder of the campaign.

The 27-year-old has been dedicated to his recovery process and is now back in light training. He recently resumed working with the ball and is gradually reintegrating into team sessions.

Bremer is now balancing personalized fitness work with partial involvement in group training. While he is still not expected to feature on the pitch during the Club World Cup, Juventus management views his inclusion in the squad as a morale booster for the team.

Juventus will compete in the newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup, taking place in the United States from June 14 to July 13. They have been drawn into a group featuring Manchester City, Al Ain, and Wydad AC.

Though Bremer’s participation in matches remains unlikely, his presence is expected to inspire his teammates and signal a possible full return by the start of the 2025/26 season.

Gleison Bremer joined Juventus in the summer of 2022 after a standout spell at Torino. He quickly established himself as one of the top defenders in Serie A and is widely regarded as among the best in his position globally.
