Juventus makes final decision on Jonathan David transfer

The long-anticipated move of Canadian striker Jonathan David to Juventus is nearing a decisive moment,With his contract at Lille expiring this June and no renewal in place, David has officially parted ways with the French club, making him one of the hottest free agents on the market.

Juventus has been pursuing the 24-year-old for several months, previously under the direction of Cristiano Giuntoli, who reportedly negotiated a five-year deal worth €6 million annually plus €2 million in bonuses.

Despite Giuntoli’s recent departure, new sporting director Damien Comolli is expected to inherit the groundwork and make the final call.

Rival clubs Inter Milan and Napoli had also shown strong interest. Inter was the first to act but is now distracted by managerial changes. Napoli, with Antonio Conte at the helm, seems to be shifting focus to Adrian Bonny of Parma instead.

This could pave a clear path for Juventus to land David, but everything now hinges on Comolli’s green light.

The striker, who has scored consistently in Ligue 1 and impressed with Canada’s national team, is seen as a key asset for the Bianconeri’s attacking overhaul.
