Juventus may find a new winger inside of Seria A, instead of Zhegrova

Juventus are still trying to sign a new winger before the end of the transfer window, however Juventus’s days are numbered. So far the leading name has been Lille winger, Edon Zhegrova. Zhegrova is hopeful to come to Turin, as he has told his agent to stop negotiating with other clubs.

Zhegrova has also already agreed personal terms with Juventus, but the deal is far away from being complete. The current Lille president Oliver Létang, “We spoke to Comolli but as of today Edon is staying with us. We have not received any offers for him.” If Lille want to hold on Zhegrova or have a higher value than Juventus want to pay then Juventus may have to look at alternatives.

So far one name is being floated as a potential transfer for Juventus, this is Alexis Saelemaekers from AC Milan. This come from a reports from calciomercato. This states that the two clubs have opened talks for a sale, however, Dusan Vlahovic is not included in the deal.

Vlahovic has been linked to Milan for most of this summer as he looks set to leave Juventus. This is due to his contract expiring at the end of this season, and currently an extension isn’t possible. Vlahovic wants a pay raise, while Juventus are looking to cut his wages. Milan was an option for Vlahovic but they have decided to sign Victor Boniface on a loan to buy instead.

Juventus however, still could sign Saelemaekers even if they have to dig into their own pockets. So far Milan are asking for a fee around €20-25M, but this still might not be enough. Roma where originally interested in signing him after his loan spell at the club last season, but Milan coach, Max Allegri blocked the deal.

Saelemaekers is also negotiating a contract extension with AC Milan which would take him to 2027. Someone in Saelemaekers entourage could have asked for it to be published to help earn Saelemaekers more money. Juventus could’ve done the same so that Lille will accept a lower bid to sell Zhegrova, as they need to get rid of him because like Vlahovic his contract expires this season.

However, this one more reason why, Juventus hasn’t made a real offer to Lille for Edon Zhegrova. Juventus are waiting to sell Nico Gonzalez, before they can make any real signings. So far are Atletico Madrid are interested but Juventus and Atletico are far away from a deal.
