Juventus midfielder is still with the team after the Saudi market closed and he may find a new club soon
As of midnight last night, the transfer market in Saudi Arabia has officially closed, leaving Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo still in Torino, continuing his training at the Continassa facility.
With the recent departure of Tiago Djalò, Arthur remains one of the few surplus players left at the club, alongside Filip Kostić.
Arthur, who previously played for Barcelona, earns a substantial salary of 5.5 million euros per season. According to Tuttosport, his agent, Federico Pastorello, has yet to finalize a transfer that meets everyone’s expectations.
Currently, Pastorello is exploring potential transfer options in Greece and Turkey. The transfer windows for these countries will close on September 11 and 13, respectively.
Last week, there was a proposal from PAOK Thessaloniki, but Arthur declined the move to Greece. Consequently, his agent is actively seeking alternative solutions to find a new club for him.
With most European transfer windows now closed, the remaining options for Arthur include Turkey, Serbia, Greece, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Croatia, and a few countries in Asia .
The search for the right opportunity continues as Pastorello works to secure a transfer that aligns with Arthur’s career goals and Juventus’ interests.
