Nicolò Fagioli, after a tumultuous year due to off-field issues, is back in action with Juventus. He was on the bench during the match against Como, but Thiago Motta trusted him as a starter in games against Hellas Verona and Roma. Fagioli is gradually regaining form, showing signs of recovery despite a challenging past season.

In the match against Verona, Fagioli replaced Douglas Luiz, a surprising decision given that many expected Luiz’s debut.

Fagioli initially struggled, particularly with Verona’s aggressive pressing, but he improved as the game progressed. His performance hinted at the talent that Massimiliano Allegri relied on during the 2022/23 season.

However, Fagioli’s performance against Roma was less convincing. He received an early yellow card for an avoidable foul, which affected his confidence throughout the match. While he contributed to Juventus’ play, he never managed to deliver a decisive pass or game-changing play.

Fagioli appears to be still recovering, both physically and mentally. He seems slower than before, likely due to his extended absence from competitive play, though his technical ability remains intact.

Mentally, there may still be lingering effects from his suspension last season. However, Thiago Motta continues to show faith in him, a crucial factor in Fagioli’s full recovery. With the packed schedule ahead, the player is expected to gain more minutes and build on the trust given by his coach.
