Juventus midfielder transfer to Saudi Arabia falls through Turkish clubs show interest
Filip Kostic’s anticipated move to Saudi club Al-Ittihad has fallen through at the final hurdle. According to reports from Tuttosport, the transfer collapsed due to a last-minute scramble that left insufficient time to finalize the deal.
Al-Ittihad reportedly engaged with Kostic’s representatives too late, leaving no room to complete the transfer process before the deadline.
The deal would have seen the Serbian winger sign a three-year contract with Al-Ittihad, bringing 4-5 million euros to Juventus.
However, the delay in negotiations meant the paperwork could not be processed in time, ultimately causing the move to collapse.
With the Saudi move off the table, Kostic’s future remains uncertain. However, interest from the Turkish Super Lig offers a glimmer of hope.
The transfer window in Turkey remains open until September 13, with Galatasaray and Besiktas reportedly expressing interest in acquiring the left-sided player.
Kostic’s representatives are now working to explore these options, hoping to secure a move before the Turkish deadline.
As the clock ticks down, the coming days will be crucial in determining whether Kostic will remain with Juventus or find a new home in the Turkish league.
