Juventus offer Dusan Vlahovic in deal to sign Manchester United star

Juventus are preparing a new move to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho — and this time, they’re willing to include striker Dusan Vlahovic in the deal.

The Italian giants have kept a close eye on Sancho for several seasons. After failed attempts to sign him last summer and again in January 2024  when Chelsea swooped in for a loan  Juventus are now ready to reopen negotiations.

Conditions are more favorable this time around, as Manchester United no longer see Sancho as part of their long-term plans.

With his contract set to expire in 2026, United are open to finding a solution. Talks have already started, and while Juventus would offer lower wages, they can promise Sancho a key role in Turin.

The 25-year-old is reportedly still interested in the move, seeing Juventus as a “prestigious” club.

The arrival of Juventus’ new general director, Damien Comolli, has helped move discussions forward. Sancho’s representatives have stayed in contact with the club throughout the year.

That consistent interest, combined with the player’s desire to leave Manchester, could help speed up the deal.

Napoli have also shown interest, but Juventus are currently leading the race.

One option being considered is a direct player swap. Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, also under contract until 2026, could head to Manchester United as part of the exchange.

United have admired Vlahovic for a while and could be tempted, especially if he’s promised regular game time.

Vlahovic has already turned down offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey, but a Premier League move could attract him if the terms are right.

Meanwhile, Manchester United continue to follow Douglas Luiz. The midfielder was a target in January, and with his reduced playing time under Aston Villa boss Igor Tudor, the Red Devils might revisit that interest. United’s need for midfield reinforcements keeps Luiz in their sights.

For United fans, this feels familiar. Once again, the club is trying to offload a player who never lived up to expectations.

Letting Sancho go may be the right decision  but fans are frustrated by the slow and unclear way the club has handled the situation.

A swap with Vlahovic could make sense on paper: both players are valuable, and both need a fresh start. But if Vlahovic isn’t fully committed, United risk another costly mistake.

The club’s reactive approach to transfers must change if the current leadership wants to earn supporters’ trust. Whether this Sancho saga ends with a swap, sale, or stand-off, Manchester United must take stronger control of these situations.

As for Douglas Luiz, unless United finally develop a clear midfield plan, he may remain just another name on their long list of targets.
