Juventus have been offered the chance to sign Olympique Marseille midfielder Valentin Rongier, as the club considers reshaping its midfield in the event of Douglas Luiz’s departure this summer.

The Bianconeri are reportedly prepared to move on from Luiz, who has struggled to adapt since his high-profile arrival from Aston Villa just a year ago.

Initially signed alongside Teun Koopmeiners to revamp Juventus’ midfield, both players underperformed in their debut season.

While Koopmeiners is still being backed to rediscover his best form, patience with Luiz is wearing thin.

As a result, the club is exploring alternatives, and Rongier has been proposed as a potential replacement by intermediaries familiar with Juventus’ current needs.

Rongier brings leadership, experience, and tactical intelligence  qualities Juventus have sorely missed in midfield.

The Frenchman, who has captained Marseille, is seen as someone who could provide immediate stability and structure in the center of the pitch.

Should Luiz leave in the coming weeks, Juventus could move quickly for Rongier. However, any transfer would require the approval of the club’s manager, who must be convinced that the 29-year-old fits into his long-term vision for the team.

If a deal materializes, Rongier could prove to be a key piece in Juventus’ effort to restore balance and consistency to their midfield heading into the 2025/26 season.
