Juventus are wasting no time in the transfer market as they look to reinforce their defensive line, with reports indicating that the club has made contact with Chelsea over a potential move for French centre-back Axel Disasi.

The 26-year-old defender arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2023 with high expectations following a €45 million move from AS Monaco.

However, Disasi has struggled to adapt to the demands of the Premier League and fell down the pecking order, spending the latter half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Aston Villa.

Despite his shaky spell in England, Disasi remains highly rated across Europe, and Juventus appear to believe that his profile is better suited to Serie A. According to journalist Mirko Di Natale, the Bianconeri have initiated talks with Chelsea and are considering bringing the France international to Turin this summer.

Disasi is known for his physicality, aerial dominance, and versatility across the backline. Qualities that, according to Juventus insiders, fit the tactical demands of Italian football more naturally than the fast-paced style of the Premier League.

With long-time defenders like Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini now part of club history, Juventus are eager to build a new generation of defensive stalwarts.

Disasi’s experience in European competitions and his potential for growth make him an attractive option.

Interestingly, Juventus are already benefiting from a Chelsea connection, with Renato Veigacurrently on loan making a strong impression in the black and white shirt.

The Italian giants seem keen to replicate that success by targeting another underutilized Blues player.

If the deal goes through, Disasi would join a growing list of Premier League players finding a second wind in Italy.

And for Chelsea, it could be another necessary departure as they continue to reshape the squad under new manager Enzo Maresca, who reportedly does not consider Disasi part of his long-term plans.

Disasi’s future could be decided in the coming weeks. If Juventus meet Chelsea’s valuation or structure a favorable loan deal with an option to buy, the move could be finalized swiftly.

For now, Disasi remains a Chelsea player but the door to Turin might soon open.
