Juventus are preparing for the imminent departure of American winger Timothy Weah to Olympique de Marseille, and two distinct profiles have emerged as potential replacements for the right-wing position.
Juventus have already reached a full agreement with Marseille for Weah’s transfer, structured as a €1 million loan with a binding obligation to buy set at €14 million. The deal also includes up to €3 million in performance-based add-ons and a future sell-on clause.
Despite this, the transfer has yet to be officially finalized, as the club and the USMNT winger’s representatives continue to work through contractual, visa, and administrative formalities.
As a result, Weah remains at Juventus’ Herzogenaurach training camp and did not participate in Tuesday’s group session under coach Igor Tudor.
Among those being considered to replace Weah is Wilfried Singo. Juventus intermediaries have reportedly received a dossier on the Ivorian right-back in recent days.
Currently under contract at Monaco, Singo was proposed to the club by his agent, Maxime Nana. Having previously starred for Torino in Serie A, the 24-year-old defender moved to Monaco in August 2023 and quickly became a key figure.
He logged 2,699 minutes over 35 appearances last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
Juventus are currently evaluating his suitability within Tudor’s tactical system, but have not yet made a formal offer.
If capital or timing constraints limit Juventus’ ability to move forward with a player like Singo, another option under consideration is Arnau Martínez of Girona.
The 22-year-old Spaniard, known for his tactical awareness and versatility, has a reported release clause between €10 million and €12 million.
A product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy, Martínez is capable of playing as a full-back, wing-back, or even as part of a three-man defense. His attributes are seen as well-suited to Tudor’s 3-5-2 or hybrid 3-4-2-1 formations.
In evaluating their next steps, Juventus must weigh the advantages of bringing in a physically ready and Serie A-proven player like Singo against the long-term developmental potential of Martínez.
Both players offer distinct qualities, and the club appears open to either pathway depending on how the Weah transfer is finalized.
With the start of Serie A just three weeks away, Juventus’ transfer committee, led by sporting director Damien Comolli, is expected to act quickly.
The resolution of Weah’s move to Marseille will likely determine whether the club proceeds with one of these options—or explores further alternatives on the market.
