Juventus is actively pursuing Manchester United’s Dutch forward, Joshua Zirkzee, proposing a swap deal involving their Serbian striker, Dusan Vlahovic, reports TalkSPORT.
Zirkzee, who transferred to Manchester United from Bologna for £36.5 million in July 2024, has struggled to find form in the Premier League.
Despite a promising debut, his subsequent performances have been underwhelming, leading to limited playing time and early substitutions.
Juventus, under the management of Thiago Motta—who previously coached Zirkzee at Bologna—is keen to reunite with the 23-year-old striker.
The Italian club has proposed a swap deal, offering Dusan Vlahovic in exchange for Zirkzee.
Vlahovic, Juventus’ top scorer with 12 goals this season, has 18 months remaining on his contract, with no current negotiations for an extension.
Manchester United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, has expressed a desire to retain Zirkzee, stating, “I want to keep Josh because he gives everything. He’s trying in training, but we don’t know… the window is open, and we will see what happens.”
Reports suggest that Zirkzee has instructed his agents to explore a potential return to Serie A during the January transfer window, with Juventus being a favorable option.
The proposed swap deal could benefit both clubs: Manchester United would acquire a proven goal scorer in Vlahovic, potentially revitalizing their attacking options, while Juventus would reunite Zirkzee with a manager under whom he previously thrived.
As the January transfer window progresses, negotiations are expected to continue, with both clubs aiming to strengthen their squads for the remainder of the season.
In addition to the potential swap involving Zirkzee and Vlahovic, Juventus is reportedly planning a double transfer move, also targeting Manchester United’s left-back, Tyrell Malacia.
The Italian club is considering a loan deal with an option to buy for Malacia, aiming to bolster their defensive options.
