Juventus pushes for loan extensions as the countdown to the Club World Cup begins
With their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League secured, Juventus will pause training at Continassa for a week.
However, preparations are quietly intensifying behind the scenes for the Club World Cup, where the Bianconeri are set to kick off their campaign on June 19 at 3:00 a.m. against Al-Ain.
A major focus for the club’s management is determining which loan players will be eligible to remain with the squad for the tournament.
Randal Kolo Muani, who joined Juventus on a short-term loan from Paris Saint-Germain in January, is one of the key players whose availability is in question.
While final talks between Juventus and PSG are expected to take place after the Champions League final where PSG faces Inter Milan this Saturday there is growing confidence within Juventus that the 25-year-old forward could stay with the team for the tournament.
A similar situation is unfolding with Portuguese winger Francisco Conceição. Currently on loan from FC Porto, Conceição has impressed Juventus staff with his versatility.
The club is paying a fee for his loan and is currently assessing whether to pursue a permanent transfer. Negotiations are ongoing, and optimism remains high that he will be part of the squad for the Club World Cup.
Renato Veiga’s case presents a different challenge. The young defender, born in 2003, arrived from Chelsea on loan in January. His future is still under review, with discussions pending between Juventus and the London club.
No firm decision has been made yet, and it remains uncertain whether Veiga will stay in Turin for the tournament or return to England. For now, the club continues its evaluations and preparations without pause.
Juventus may be on break, but behind the scenes, the work continues at Continassa to ensure the team is ready for its global challenge.
