Juventus ready to break the bank for top striker

The name of Viktor Gyökeres continues to top Juventus’ wishlist as they look to strengthen their attack.

The Sporting Lisbon striker is the Bianconeri’s dream signing for the summer he has the qualities to play as a main striker wearing the black and white jersey and  most notably has scored 54 goals this season across all competitions, a figure that speaks for itself.

Juventus are watching closely but know they will face increasingly tough competition. Besides the already known interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, Saudi club Al-Hilal has also entered the race.

Al-Hilal is ready to offer huge wages to the Swedish forward after Victor Osimhen’s stunning rejection of a net €35 million per season deal until 2029. This refusal might push the Saudi club to focus heavily on Gyökeres, offering market-breaking sums.

The main hurdle for Juventus remains Sporting Lisbon’s valuation of €70 million, excluding bonuses. It’s a significant price tag that requires careful consideration and potentially big player sales to be affordable.

However, Gyökeres’ salary of €3 million gross per season fits Juventus’ new financial framework, making that aspect more manageable.

Despite the common belief that scoring in Portugal is easier, Gyökeres has silenced critics with standout performances in Europe six goals in eight Champions League matches, including a historic hat trick against Manchester City. These stats prove his ability to perform at the highest level.

Tuttosport writes that Juventus are ready to dive into the striker market. The Swedish dream remains alive, though expensive. For now, it is just a dream   but the transfer window has only just begun.
