Juventus ready to sell rising star to fund Newcastle United midfielder bid

Juventus is reportedly considering the sale of rising star Kenan Yildiz to raise funds for the acquisition of Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Italian giants are prioritizing Tonali’s arrival in the January transfer window as they aim to strengthen their squad and secure a Champions League spot for next season.

Yildiz, 19, has enjoyed a breakout season and is attracting interest from Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea.

Despite signing a contract extension with Juventus until 2029, the talented midfielder has been linked to significant offers from these clubs. Reports indicate that United and Chelsea failed with bids for Yildiz last summer, but his availability now presents an opportunity for potential suitors.

Newcastle has reportedly set a €55 million (£45.7 million) price tag for Tonali, and Juventus sees the €40 million (£33.2 million) sale of Yildiz as a viable way to fund the transfer. The club’s management is determined to avoid missing out on Champions League qualification, making Tonali a key target.

Despite the speculation, Yildiz has expressed his commitment to Juventus. In a recent interview with Tuttosport, he shared his pride in playing for the club and wearing the iconic number 10 jersey. He praised Turin’s peaceful atmosphere and reiterated his dedication to winning with Juventus.

However, Juventus’ financial pressures and strategic goals may override Yildiz’s sentiments, forcing the club to consider his sale to meet their objectives.
