Juventus reignite interest in Thiaw amid Vlahović transfer talks
Juventus are pushing for Malick Thiaw as part of the potential deal that could see Dušan Vlahović join Milan. New contacts have taken place after initial hesitation, reports CM’s Daniele Longo.
The two Serie A giants are exploring what could become one of the summer’s most talked-about transfers, with both clubs seeking to address key areas of their squads while managing financial constraints.
Juventus are open to parting ways with Vlahović for a fee in the region of €20 million, largely due to the Serbian striker’s €12 million net annual salary and the lack of progress on a contract renewal set to expire in 2026.
AC Milan, now managed by former Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri, view the 25-year-old as a solution to their ongoing need for a prolific centre-forward.
To help facilitate the deal, it was Milan who offered Malick Thiaw as part of the package to bring Dušan Vlahović to San Siro.

The 23-year-old German defender, reportedly valued around €30 million, has become a key figure in Milan’s back line since arriving from Schalke in 2022.
His combination of physicality, composure, and tactical flexibility has also drawn attention from top Bundesliga clubs, including Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.
Initially, Juventus showed hesitation about including Thiaw in the deal, as their transfer priorities were focused on strengthening the midfield rather than the defense. However, the Bianconeri now appear to be reconsidering their stance.
Vlahović, meanwhile, remains a valuable but expensive asset. Since his move from Fiorentina in January 2022, he has scored 43 goals in 104 league appearances for Juventus.

Despite his output, his salary has become a burden as Juventus look to restructure their wage bill and reinvest in multiple areas of the squad.
Juventus general manager Damien Comolli has indicated the club is willing to let Vlahović leave this summer, provided the offer aligns with their valuation.
Talks are said to be progressing steadily, though no final agreement has been reached. With the transfer window entering its final weeks, both clubs are under pressure to conclude negotiations.
