Juventus have resumed discussions over a potential move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and are also monitoring Mateus Fernandes of Southampton as they plan for a busy summer transfer window.
Manager Igor Tudor is pushing for reinforcements ahead of the 2025–26 campaign, with at least three new additions reportedly on his wish list.
Despite past reports suggesting Victor Osimhen was not interested in joining Juventus, new updates indicate that the Turin club has restarted contact with his camp.
The striker, who is under contract with Napoli but has spent time at Galatasaray, is still one of the top attacking targets for the Bianconeri.
Osimhen is said to have a €75 million release clause applicable only for clubs outside Italy, meaning Juventus would have to strike a direct deal with Napoli. Last week, it was reported that he rejected a high-paying offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal, expressing a preference to continue playing in Europe.
Other attacking names on the Juventus shortlist include Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP and Bologna’s Santiago Castro, though both are considered backup plans if the Osimhen deal fails.
In midfield, Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali remains a dream signing, although his price and status make the move difficult. Atalanta’s Ederson is also being followed closely.
One of the more realistic options is Mateus Fernandes, who could become available after Southampton’s recent relegation from the Premier League.
Juventus may look to bring him in on loan. Fernandes is represented by Jorge Mendes, the same agent who manages current Juventus loanee Francisco Conceição, which could ease negotiations.
On the defensive end, Flamengo’s Wesley is being considered for the right wing-back spot, while Olympique Marseille’s Leonardo Balerdi has emerged as a leading candidate to strengthen the central defense especially if there are any departures in that area.
With Juventus preparing for a demanding season that includes participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, the club’s leadership is working to reshape the squad with key strategic signings.
