At the beginning of this season, Juventus made a lot of small transfer moves. This was to keep the current stars like Dusan Vlahovic, Manuel Locatelli and Gleison Bremer while building a new team to Thiago Motta’s more modern game style.
The successfulness of this strategy has been underwhelming to most Juventus fans, while Pierre Kalulu and Khepren Thuram have proven to be good signings. Most other like Teun Koopmeiners and Douglas Luiz have underperformed.
The underperforming has angered the Juventus fans especially considering how many young players was lost to bring them in. Dean Huijsen has been one of the best centre backs in the Premier League this season, Soule is getting minutes at Roma consistently and many other youngster who have left are doing well.
However for the up coming mercato, Giuntoli will look for different players. Giuntoli wants players that can come in to play crucial roles to help gets this Juventus team over the hump to be Serie A champions. This will be helped when the clubs finical improve at the end of this season.
Juventus will likely have a Jeep as a front of shirt sponsor next season according to rumours, this will help give Juventus spending money. Another key thing is if Juventus qualify for the Champions League next season.
The added money because the players who are the major changers are also very expensive. One example of this is Victor Osimhen who is linked to Juventus heavily, but he has a release clause of 75 million euros.
But the ex Milan player Juventus are looking to sign is Sandro Tonali from Newcastle. Despite his great performances, life in England has been hard for Tonali. This is why both he and Newcastle are open to him moving to a new side.
A move back to his boyhood club of AC Milan was linked, but Milan may very well move towards other options which means a return for Tonali could be rain checked. A swap deal could be used as Douglas Luiz would be open to a Premier League return. But this would still cost Juventus at least 30 million euros if not more.
