Juventus sets deadline to resolve Dusan Vlahovic’s future
Juventus are working against the clock to finalize the future of star striker Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract is nearing its final year. With no agreement yet on an extension, the club is determined to settle the matter before pre-season preparations intensify.
Vlahovic currently earns €1 million per month net, a figure that has become unsustainable under Juventus’ revised financial policy.
The club has repeatedly proposed a lower wage in exchange for a long-term extension, but the Serbian striker has not accepted the new terms.
If the deadlock continues, Juventus may be forced to sell him during the current summer transfer window.
Juventus are reportedly planning fresh talks with Vlahovic’s representatives following the recent departure of Cristiano Giuntoli.
The Bianconeri hope to reach a final decision by mid-July, which would allow them to either move forward with Vlahovic or secure a replacement in time for the new season.
This deadline aligns with the end of the Club World Cup, just before the start of the team’s pre-season training.
Uncertainty surrounding Vlahovic is beginning to impact the club’s tactical and financial planning. Juventus want a clear picture of their squad before they enter the 2025/26 campaign, and the striker’s situation is central to their strategy.
A delay in the decision could risk disrupting the team’s momentum and ability to recruit new talent.
Should Vlahovic decide to leave, Juventus are prepared to offload the striker and reinvest the proceeds in a new forward. However, if he chooses to stay, the 24-year-old must agree to terms that reflect the club’s current financial structure.
The coming weeks will be critical in determining whether DV9 remains at the Allianz Stadium or moves on to a new challenge. Juventus cannot afford to carry unresolved uncertainty in a position as crucial as their lead striker.
