Juventus is closely following the situation of former defender Merih Demiral as he could potentially leave his current club, Atalanta, at the end of the season.

Demiral, 25, has been a regular presence in Atalanta’s starting lineup for more than half of the season, but his last start was on March 4th against Udinese.

Reports from Italian media outlet TuttoJuve.com suggest that the Turkish international could be on the move in the upcoming transfer window, with clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle, and Wolverhampton expressing interest.

If Demiral is sold, Atalanta will reportedly demand no less than 20 million euros for the defender’s services.

In this scenario, Juventus, who sold Demiral to Atalanta in 2022, could benefit financially as they hold a 10% share of any future resale as part of the agreement they signed last summer.

Beyond the financial benefits, the possible departure of Demiral from Atalanta could see him once again face Juventus, the club where he played from 2019 to 2020.

Demiral’s performance against his former club in the first leg of the current season suggests he would be a formidable opponent for Juventus.
