Juventus are set to secure the long-term future of Federico Gatti, with the Italian defender expected to sign a new contract next week that will keep him in Turin until June 2030.

Gatti, now 27, has become an integral part of both Juventus and the Italian national team, earning widespread admiration for his dedication, physical presence, and inspiring journey to the top.

Born in Rivoli, Gatti’s rise in football is nothing short of remarkable. Before becoming a professional player, he worked as a bricklayer to support himself while playing amateur football.

His breakthrough came at Frosinone, where he was named Serie B’s best player, which earned him a move to Juventus in 2022.

Since joining the club, he has made 80 appearances in Serie A, scoring five goals and providing one assist.

His European experience includes 11 Champions League matches, five in the Europa League, and four appearances in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Despite a contract running until 2028, Juventus have been working to extend Gatti’s stay amid his growing importance to the squad. Talks had been ongoing during the 2024/25 season, but the club’s internal restructuring caused delays.

Now, according to journalist Orazio Accomando, Gatti is scheduled to visit the club’s headquarters early next week to finalize the deal.

The new contract will run until 2030 and is expected to include an improved salary, though financial details are yet to be disclosed.

As Juventus look to return to domestic dominance and make a deeper push in Europe, keeping players like Gatti on board is seen as vital to their ambitions.
