Liverpool have secured another addition to their growing summer roster as Salford City striker Will Wright is set to join the Premier League giants.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has officially given his trademark “here we go” to the deal, confirming that Wright has completed the second part of his medical and will sign a contract until June 2028.

The 19-year-old forward becomes the latest name to join Arne Slot’s squad after the Dutchman led Liverpool to the Premier League title in his debut season.

Wright joins a long list of summer arrivals including Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike, and goalkeepers Freddie Woodman and Armin Pecsi.

Journalist Ben Jacobs earlier reported that Liverpool were “pushing” to land Wright for a six-figure sum amid interest from other Premier League clubs.

Arsenal made a late bid to hijack the deal but were ultimately outmaneuvered by Liverpool, who improved their offer to reach an agreement with Salford City.

Jacobs confirmed: “Liverpool have won the race for Will Wright after making an improved offer to Salford City. Arsenal tried to hijack the deal and initially outbid LFC, but Liverpool eventually secured a club-to-club agreement.”

Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez could be on his way out of Anfield. The Uruguayan striker has slipped down the pecking order under Slot and is now being targeted by Juventus.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà reports that the Bianconeri have contacted Liverpool to inquire about the forward’s situation.

Juventus are also continuing talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Randal Kolo Muani, exploring a loan with an obligation to buy.

However, they are keeping their options open, and Nunez is seen as a potential alternative.

While Napoli were previously interested in Nunez, they reportedly backed out due to Liverpool’s €50 million asking price.

Juventus are now trying to take advantage of the situation, potentially launching a bid to bring the 24-year-old to Serie A.

As Liverpool prepare for the upcoming season, a reshuffle in the attacking department appears likely, especially with Luis Diaz set to undergo a medical at Bayern Munich ahead of a €75 million transfer.
