Juventus v Venezia: Match preview, team news, how to watch and probable XI

After a thrilling Champions League victory, Juventus is set to face Venezia in Serie A, with hopes of reigniting their title challenge.

The match, hosted at the Allianz Stadium, will be a test of Juventus’s ability to translate their European form into domestic success.

On Wednesday, Juventus secured a 2-0 win against Manchester City, thanks to goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Weston McKennie, and key saves by Michele Di Gregorio.

This victory has elevated Juventus to 14th in the Champions League standings, just two points behind the top eight teams with two games left.

Despite their European success, Juventus’s Serie A campaign has been inconsistent. The team has drawn nine of their first 15 matches, a tally not seen since 2001.

However, they remain unbeaten, making them unique contenders for three trophies this season, including the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia.

Venezia, languishing at the bottom of the table, has had a tough season. They’ve only managed two victories, none since October, and are three points adrift of safety.

Their form is highlighted by their last-minute draw against Como, thanks to Gaetano Oristanio’s equalizer.

Team News

Juventus will look to capitalize on the return of several key players from injury. Vlahovic, McKennie, Nicolò Savona, and Douglas Luiz were all involved against Manchester City.

However, Andrea Cambiaso’s ankle injury will keep him out. Nico Gonzalez is will return as confirmed by Thiago Motta in today’s press conference, but long-term absentees like Juan Cabal and Bremer remain out, along with Arkadiusz Milik.

For Venezia, Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, a former Juventus youth player, will be central to their midfield efforts. Eusebio Di Francesco will miss Alfred Duncan and Richie Sagrado due to injury.
