Juventus vs Aston Villa match preview

Juventus are set to play Aston Villa today in the Champions League in a massive game in Birmingham. This is because Juventus have suffered recently in the champions league. The last two league stage game have been a one nil loss to Stuttgart and a one-one draw to Lille.

Juventus are still undermanned due to injuries and now have another to deal with. Juventus had to try a strike/false 9 partnership of Koopmeiners and Weston Mckennie. Now another problem has risen for Thiago Motta to deal with.

Teun Koopmeiners played against Milan with a fever of 38 degrees Celsius against Milan but thankfully Weston Mckennie was fit and healthy. Now Motta faces a new problem with Weston Mckennie facing injury and now he hasn’t been picked for the squad to travel to England

This will likely force Motta to use a 4-2-3-1 because of the players at his disposal. This is annoying not allowing Motta to try different changes to try and out play Villa. There will likely be no changes in the defence because of this.

This will mean that the defence will line up with Di Gregorio in goal, Cambiaso on the left flank and Savona on the right. This will lead to a defence partnership of Pierre Kalulu and Federico Gatti. The only changes that could be made is Danilo for one of the centre backs or Rouhi for Cambiaso or Savona.

The midfield while come back to two defensive midfielders of Manuel Locatelli and Khepren Thuram. Teun Koopmeiners will be forced to play in the 10. The only way he doesn’t if Nicolo Fagioli comes in but that doesn’t seem likely.

The wings well be taken up by Kenan Yildiz on the left and Francisco Conceicao on the right. Timothy Weah will be forced up top. There will only be one player on the bench who could replace them being Samuel Mbangula.
