Juventus vs Como match preview

Juventus will kick off there 23/24 Seria A campaign as they take on Como at home. Juventus look to push to win the league under new coach Thiago Motta. However, the team isn’t still fully ready as they are waiting for the signing of Teun Koopmeiners.

Juventus Lineup: 4-2-3-1

Defence: Michele Di Gregorio will start in goals for his first Seria A game. Juan Carbal will also make his Seria A debut in a back 4 with Cambiaso on the left side. Bremer and Danilo will be the 2 centre backs in Motta’s new system which involves moving out the back.

Midfield: Juventus will start two defensive midfielders with one making his debut. The debutant will be Khepren Thuram and Manuel Locatelli will play next to him. Then there will be three attacking midfielders with 2 wingers. Kenan Yildiz and Timothy Weah will be the wingers with Yildiz on the left and Weah on the right. Douglas Luiz will make his Seria A debut as the one attacking midfield.

Attack: Dusan Vlahovic will be the lone striker up top today. This will be interesting to watch how he does as under Allegri he played mainly with a support striker. Without the high support he needs to play big and make the game about him.

Como Lineup: 4-4-2

Defence: Pepe Reina will make his Seria A debut for Como in net. They will use a back four with Dossena and Barba as the centre backs with Moreno and Goldaniga as the two full backs. Moreno will be on the left and Goldaniga on the right.

Midfield: Gabriel Strefezza and Lucas Da Cunha will start as their right and left wingers with Baselli and Braunoder will both play a box-to-box role to support the two strikers.

Attack: The two strikers will be Patrick Cutrone and new signing Andrea Belotti formerly of Torino will be the source of their goals.
