Juventus vs Sassoulo: Match Preview by The Calcio Guy

After a long wait, Serie A is finally back this weekend. However, Bianconeri have to wait till Monday night to get things going, as Juventus host Sassoulo at Allianz Stadium on matchday 1. Last year, both the teams won against each other away from home and it has always been a high scoring fixture. Juventus had a huge summer in terms of transfer window. However they haven’t been able to reciprocate the same impact on the pitch in pre season so far. In 4 pre season games that they played, Old Lady was able to win just one game out of them, losing 2 and drawing one. Juventus won their opening game against Guadalajara but then lost to reigning UCL champions Real Madrid, then drew against Barcelona and wrapping up their pre season with a 4-0 loss against Atletico Madrid. It will be interesting to see how Allegri manages all the new signings in the Serie A.

Meanwhile Sassoulo is coming to the fixture after a shocking exit from Coppa Italia as they lost to Serie B side Modena by 3-2. Other than that, they won comfortably against the lower division team from Italy, Vis Pesaro by 4-1 as well. Sassoulo also saw many exits in the team as Gianluca Scamacca went to West Ham and another great prospect, Raspadori is also on his way out to sign for Napoli. All eyes will be on their new signing Pinamonti, who had a great season at Empoli previously.
