Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba could face another month on the sidelines after suffering a suspected groin strain.

The Frenchman missed his side’s 4-2 victory over Sampdoria on Sunday due to the injury he suffered while training to take free-kicks.

Pogba’s absence has reportedly frustrated Juventus, who had previously asked him to waive team bonuses without success.

With new executives now in charge, it is possible that discussions will be held regarding his future with the club.

However, if Pogba were to depart at the end of the year, Juventus would miss out on the benefits of a tax-cutting decree, as reported by Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

Since Paul Pogba returned to Juventus on a free transfer in the summer he has not been able to play a single game for Juventus from the beginning despite playing few minutes from the bench.

This does not please the management of Juventus as he is the highest paid player in the club. The 29-year-old Frenchman has continued to struggle with a number of injuries since his time at Manchester United.
