Juvenuts 2-0 Parma: Match report, player ratings and photos

Juventus kicked off their 2025/26 Serie A campaign with a 2–0 victory over a determined Parma side, thanks to a commanding second-half performance led by their number 10, Kenan Yildiz, and goals from strikers Jonathan David and Dušan Vlahović.

Despite stretches of uninspired play, the Bianconeri did what was needed in front of their home fans: collect three important points. The win came with flashes of brilliance, solid leadership at the back, and one costly error that could echo into the coming weeks.

After a cagey first half, Gleison Bremer thwarted a dangerous early Parma chance with a vital block that kept the score level.

Moments later, in the 59th minute, Kenan Yildiz burst forward down the flank and delivered a precise cross that debutant Jonathan David met with the outside of his boot, giving Juve the opening goal of the campaign.

The match took on a new intensity when Andrea Cambiaso was sent off in the 83rd minute following a challenge on Parma’s Mathias Fjortoft Lovik.

Juventus wasted no time exploiting their numerical advantage: just one minute later, Yildiz again played creator, this time laying the ball off for substitute Dusan Vlahović, who tapped home to wrap up the three points.

Bright Spots

Yildiz was the difference-maker. Growing into the game after a quiet first half, the Turkish international delivered two decisive assists — one for David and another for Vlahović — turning the match on its head with technical quality and vision. His performance earned him man of the match honors.

Back after a long absence, Gleison Bremer returned with the presence and impact of a true leader. Donning a Chiellini-esque head bandage, his crucial defensive intervention early in the second half was worth as much as a goal. His commanding presence filled the void Juventus had struggled with last season.

Both David and Vlahović found the back of the net, a promising sign for Juventus fans. David’s opener silenced early doubts after a shaky first half, while Vlahović came off the bench to seal the win — and assert that the No.9 shirt is still his to lose.

The Red Mark

The only sour note of the evening came from Andrea Cambiaso, who saw red for a senseless challenge. Though it didn’t cost Juventus on the night, his absence in the next fixtures will be a headache for Igor Tudor, already managing a relatively young and evolving squad.
