Juventus is set to finally get another centre back in this January mercato. This is after both Juan Cabal and Bremer suffered ACL injuries at the start of the season leaving the Juventus defence heavily understaffed.
More issues have a rose now because of Danilo leaving for Fluminense and Pierre Kalulu suffering a muscle injury in the most recent Champions League fixture against Benfica. Kevin Danso now joins at the perfect time to cover for Kalulu while he is on the sidelines.
The deal for Danso was initially floated around with a loan to buy deal, but RC Lens wanted to keep him for the future. However, they were willing to loan out Danso on a dry loan with a fee. This fee is around 4 million euros in total.
This is split up into 2.5 million euros guaranteed for the French side with another 1.5 million in add ons in bonuses. These would likely be performance based depending on how many games he’s played and other statistics.
He would likely be playing heavy minutes while he’s at Juventus due to only three players who main position is centre back. He has played in 12 games this season and started all of them playing in 1080 minutes for comparison Federico Gatti has played 1661 in Serie A alone.
However, Danso has reportedly been faking injuries to miss RC Lens games. This comes from RMC Sport a French publication who claim he is missing games on purpose. This is so he can get a move away but if that was the case why wasn’t a buy on included?
