Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz has officially apologized to the club, head coach Igor Tudor, and his teammates after failing to attend pre-season tests last week  an absence considered “unacceptable” by the Italian giants.

The 26-year-old Brazilian was fined and swiftly placed on the transfer market following his no-show on Thursday, sparking widespread media controversy.

The incident raised questions about his future at the club, just one year after arriving from Aston Villa for €50 million.

Douglas Luiz returned to Turin earlier today alongside his agents for an urgent meeting with the Juventus management.

The midfielder expressed remorse for his actions, personally apologizing to club officials, Tudor, and the rest of the squad.

Following this, Juventus allowed him to rejoin full training with the first team.

While Luiz has been welcomed back to the squad, sources confirm he remains listed for transfer. However, the tension around his potential exit has eased now that he has made amends and returned to camp.

Douglas Luiz’s gesture may help rebuild trust in the short term, but his long-term future with the Bianconeri remains uncertain.
