Learning and progress: Reflections on Juventus Next Gen’s season

Juventus NextGen has failed to qualify for the Serie C playoffs for the second time in its five-year existence, following their first failure in their inaugural year.
Despite this setback, I remain proud of the work done this season and confident in the project’s continuing growth.
I have acknowledged that this year’s team was of a higher quality than its final 12th place standing would suggest.
However, they object to describing the season as “shameful,” which I believe is an unfair characterization. While acknowledging that the team could have performed better, I note that a bad season can happen even after three consecutive playoff appearances.
This year’s Juventus NextGen team has shown considerable promise, displaying excellent play, innovative ideas, and a positive attitude throughout much of the season.
The team is young and has sometimes struggled to cope with the pressure of high-stakes games, resulting in several close losses to stronger and more experienced opponents. Nevertheless, the team’s management sees this as part of the natural growth process of young players.
I reject the notion that this year’s Juventus NextGen squad should be ashamed of their performance. I think that the team is still relatively inexperienced, with many players having only recently graduated from the Primavera league.
While the primary goal of making the playoffs was not achieved, I highlights the positive aspects of the team’s performance, including the consistent use of many players and the team’s unexpected ride to the Coppa Italia final.
In conclusion, I consider this year’s season as a step in the growth process of their young squad. I am confident that the team will continue to improve, and I am optimistic about their prospects for next season.
