Bayer Leverkusen’s midfield maestro Granit Xhaka has once again found himself at the center of transfer speculation, with Juventus showing serious interest in the experienced Swiss international.
As the Italian giants continue rebuilding their squad, Xhaka has emerged as one of their top targets.
Juventus are currently navigating a busy transfer window as they aim to bounce back stronger in the 2025/26 season.
With rumors suggesting that Douglas Luiz could leave the club this summer, the Bianconeri are on the lookout for an experienced replacement.
Granit Xhaka, who has impressed since his move to Bayer Leverkusen from Arsenal two seasons ago, fits the bill perfectly.
Known for his leadership qualities, tactical awareness, and composure on the ball, Xhaka has played a vital role in Leverkusen’s recent success.
His maturity and presence in midfield make him an ideal candidate for Juventus, who are looking to add stability and experience to their engine room.
As transfer talks heat up, Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director Simon Rolfes has spoken out to clarify the club’s position on Xhaka’s future.
Rolfes said:“There is interest, but nothing concrete so far. We’re in a phase where we’re completing the squad, that’s obvious. Granit plays an important role in this process, so it won’t be an issue that drags on throughout the transfer window.”
This comment suggests that while Leverkusen are aware of Juventus’ interest, there have been no formal negotiations yet. However, the door remains open for potential discussions should the Italian club make an official move.
At 32, Xhaka still has plenty to offer at the highest level. His experience in both the Bundesliga and Premier League, coupled with his leadership for the Swiss national team, makes him an asset for any top club.
If Juventus manage to secure his signature, it would be seen as a strategic move to bring balance and consistency to their evolving midfield setup.
With the transfer window still open and Juventus involved in multiple negotiations, it remains to be seen whether a deal for Xhaka will be finalized. However, his name is firmly on their radar.
