Manchester City interested in Andrea Cambiaso

Manchester City have had one of the worst seasons under Pep Guardiola so far, this campaign. They went on a seven-game run where they lost 6 and drew one. After the win to break that streak, they went winless in the next five with 2 draws and three losses.

Manchester City have realised that it is time to change some of the dominant squad because of age. One of those players is Kyle Walker who is looking to leave the club with AC Milan reportedly being interested in the full back.

Pep could see Cambiaso as a natural replacement for Juventus because they are similar players. Cambiaso is more like a midfielder with how he is used in build-up is a main difference and this can be useful for Guardiola’s system.

Manchester City so far haven’t made any official offers with Juventus but they are looking to spend 60-65 million euros reportedly. Juventus have said that they won’t accept for at least 80 million euros so this could make the deal fall through unless City up their offer.

However, City have made contact with Andrea Cambiaso and have made contract offers to him. He has been offered a six-year deal that will leave him in Manchester until 2030 with an option for 2031. So far Cambiaso has not accepted any contract from Man City yet.

Manchester City could decide to wait until next summer to bring Cambiaso in instead of currently. This is because City are still in talks to sign Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt after he’s had a breakout season.
