Locatelli secures win in derby Della Mole

Juventus have won their third Serie A match in a row. The Bianconeri weren’t very convincing, but deserved the win in the end. Max Statman gives you a quick breakdown and the player ratings.

Juventus started the game well. After two minutes, Kean dribbled past Torino defender Bremer, but his shot just missed the goal. The Bianconeri continued and a pass by Chiesa reached Rabiot, who tried to find Kean in front of goal, but he failed. Bernardeschi picked up the ball and gave it to McKennie, but the shot of the American midfielder went over the goal. McKennie stood out negatively in the first half. After Juventus’s good start, Torino took control. The Granata were unable to create real danger, because of Juventus’s excellent defense. Only Mandragora’s shot forced Szczęsny into a big save.

Loca’s strike

When the second half started, Kean got subbed. Taking your only fit striker off when it’s 0-0, seems like a questionable decision. But, Juventus grew into the match. Alex Sandro appeared in front of goalkeeper Milinković-Savić, but his header was saved. Juve could’ve got a penalty when Cuadrado was floored by Pobega, but it wasn’t given. The Bianconeri continued pushing for the three points. Rabiot came face to face with Milinković-Savić, tried to pass it to Chiesa but Ansaldi intercepted. In the 86th minute, Locatelli finally secured the win for Juventus. His strike went into the bottom right corner via the post. Kulusevski, who had a very strong substitute appearence, almost doubled the lead, but his shot hit the post.
