Juventus took on Club Brugge in Belgium and had another terrible performance. Teun Koopmeiners played in the 10 roles once again and didn’t touch the ball once again. This meant Douglas Luiz played his box to box and ten role once again.
This caused the team a lack of creativity and nothing could be created. But still Thiago Motta left him on the pitch until the 75th minute when Yildiz should have filled his role ten minutes earlier. This also would have meant that Samuel Mbangula who was one of our best players on the pitch again today.
Nico Gonzalez played in the striker role once again and played terrible once again. Dusan Vlahovic should have started especially with Randal Kolo-Mauni reportedly being available to play against Napoli.
This team needs to wake up and fast. They wonder what’s the problem then they need a mirror. We can’t blame most of this game on Motta. He should have made different changes, but he has a ten that’s invisible, Nico Gonzalez misses easy chances.
But what Motta can be blamed for is playing Koop again again and again. But he has stop playing Vlahovic when he is the only current striker we have at the moment. And we do have replacements for Koopmeiners in Mckennie and Douglas Luiz.
Player Ratings
Michele Di Gregorio – 7: He stopped us from conceding at times as the defence let too many attackers through at the end of the game where we could have lost by one goal or two.
Pierre Kalulu and Federico Gatti – 5.5: Went too attacking at the end of the game and could have cost us the point. Gatti created a chance out of it meanwhile Kalulu didn’t make anything out of it.
Nico Savona – 6: In the first half of the game, he was good in helping creating chances but in the second he started ghosting. The pressure of the game got too much to him, and he should have come off.
Andrea Cambiaso 6.5: Cambiaso could have played better on the defensive side of the ball but on the offensive side he was very good in limited times. I think if Thuram and him started swapping roles like he did with Mckennie last season it could work well for us.
Manuel Locatelli – 6: Locatelli game was painfully average in a rare blimp for him. But he cannot be blamed for this run of form at all.
Douglas Luiz – 7.5: He was our man of the match today as he had to play two roles due to Koopmeiners performance and still delivered. He could have scored if everyone around him was better,
Koopmeiners – 0: I’ve talked enough about him in this article. Disgraceful. Don’t let him on the bus back to Turin.
Timothy Weah – 4: I honestly forget he played, enough said about his performance.
Samuel Mbangula – 7: Mbangula was tied man of the match with Douglas Luiz for me today as he showed his skill on the left-hand side once again. I moved him down to a seven because he played for half an hour, but if he stayed on, he could have made a difference.
Nico Gonzalez – 5: Nico Gonzalez clearly isn’t a striker he shouldn’t have played or atheist not there for sure. Dusan should have instead.
