Juventus make big offer to sign Manchester United target

Juventus have made a strong move to sign Canadian striker Jonathan David, who is also a top transfer target for Manchester United.

The 25-year-old is currently a free agent after deciding not to renew his contract with French club Lille. After scoring 25 goals in his final season, he’s now attracting major interest from top European clubs.

Manchester United have been linked with David for a while, especially as they need a reliable striker and could sign him without paying a transfer fee.

However, Italian side Juventus are now leading the race, Juventus have officially offered David a five-year deal worth €6 million per season, along with a €15 million signing bonus.

Despite this, the offer may fall short of what David’s agents are asking for, as they’re hoping to get the best deal possible.

Reports have also suggested that David prefers a move to the English Premier League. But with no serious offers yet from England, Italian clubs, especially Juventus, are taking advantage of the situation.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are focusing on another striker Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres who they are preparing to bid for. This may delay any move for David.

Jonathan David had a fantastic career at Lille, scoring 109 goals and providing 30 assists in 232 matches. He helped the team finish fifth in Ligue 1 this season.

United’s manager Ruben Amorim is looking for a reliable goal scorer, especially after a disappointing season from Rasmus Højlund. Whether David will be the solution remains to be seen.
