AC Milan has taken a bold step in the transfer market, making direct contact with Juventus over a potential deal for striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The Rossoneri are keen to reshape their attacking department, and Vlahovic is seen as a prime candidate to lead the line under Massimiliano Allegri.

With Tammy Abraham set to return to Roma, Luka Jovic not expected to renew his contract, and young forward Francesco Camarda likely to go out on loan for development, Milan is in search of a high-profile forward to bolster its front line.

Igli Tare, the club’s new director, is determined to give Allegri a proven goalscorer someone who is more than just a backup to Santi Gimenez.

Milan made its first approach to Juventus last Thursday, inquiring about the availability of the Serbian striker.

Vlahovic, who has scored 41 goals in 99 appearances for the Bianconeri, previously worked with Allegri and could be reunited with the coach at San Siro.

Financially, the deal may be viable. Vlahovic’s current contract is said to cost Juventus around €20 million per year. A €30 million offer could tempt the Turin club to sell, but the real challenge lies in the player’s wages.

Vlahovic currently earns €12 million annually, while Milan is prepared to offer a five-year deal worth €7 million per season. His agreement will be key to moving forward.

While Vlahovic remains the primary target, Milan is also keeping tabs on Mateo Retegui. The striker, also monitored by Juventus, was part of discussions during a recent meeting between his representatives and Milan’s management.

Though the talks initially focused on Marco Pellegrino’s possible move to Boca Juniors, the conversation also shifted toward Retegui.

Atalanta, who hold the player’s rights, are demanding at least €50 million a steep figure but one Milan could reach if they secure some significant player sales this summer.

With the market heating up, Milan is preparing to act quickly. Vlahovic is the preferred option, but the club is leaving nothing to chance, keeping backup plans in motion. Whether it’s the Serbian star or Retegui, Milan’s message is clear: they are ready to bring firepower to San Siro.
