Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado has opened up about his departure from Juventus, revealing that he considered the club “the team of my heart” and wanted to stay before making the move to Inter.

The veteran player, who is now reportedly ready to begin a new chapter in Italy with Pisa, discussed his past in an exclusive interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Cuadrado, who spent eight years at Juventus, expressed his emotional connection to the club.

“Juve is the team of my heart; I won so much there. My children were born there,” he said. He acknowledged that some fans booed him after his move to Inter but insisted that he “wanted and could have stayed” at Juventus.

The former Bianconeri player explained the circumstances of his exit, expressing his disappointment that the club announced his non-renewal on social media.

“It really bothered me; they could have called me and told me,” he stated. Despite this, he feels that the fans have since understood his position and still hold him in high regard.

“The people understood and love me. My mother lives in Turin, and when I visit her, Juve fans greet me with affection,” he added.

Cuadrado clarified that his decision to join Inter was driven by his desire to “remain at a high level” in Italian football following his time with Juventus.
