The transfer market has been buzzing since a few months even before the start of the transfer window. Many names have been linked with Juventus so far but no signings have been made.
Recent reports have suggested that Angel di Maria has asked for some time from Juventus before making a decision. Reportedly the Argentine free agent has received offers from different clubs including the likes of Barcelona. Juventus wanted him to be quick with his considerations so that they can move to other transfers. But now the Bianconeri are left with no other option but to wait.
This forces Juventus to look for alternatives and wait for di Maria’s decision to make a move.
Lately calciomercato.com reported that Ukrainian player Mykhaylo Petrovych Mudryk was on the radar of Juventus. The 21 year old who plays as a midfielder for Shakhtar Donetsk is among the names who would like to make a transfer after the country and club got struck by the tragedy of war.
The young prospect has enjoyed interest of many European clubs. The player started playing football at Metalist Kharkiv and then moved to the Shakhtar Donetsk academy in 2016. Mudryk played for Shakhtar Donetsk in the under-21 category and was then loaned to Arsenal Kyiv and Desna Chernihiv. In 2021 Mudryk returned to Shakhtar Donetsk. During his career the player has made 47 appearances in all competitions and scored 2 goals. The midfielder has won a Ukrainian Premier League with Shakhtar Donetsk. In the recent 2021-22 season with Shakhtar, Mudryk scored twice and recorded 7 assists in 11 appearances before the league got disrupted due to war. Apart from the position of midfielder, Mudryk can play attacking winger on the left and false nine as well.
Mudryk is a brilliant talent that could be a great addition to the team. Paulo Bianco, former technical coach of Shakhtar is now hired by Juventus who is now set to be part of Massimiliano Allegri’s staff, could be a reason to sway Mudryk towards Juve.
The case of Angel di Maria and possible move for Mudryk is something to look out for, as the transfer window draws closer. Max Statman would keep you updated with the latest developments.
