Napoli are preparing to make an offer to Juventus for the return of Fabio Miretti, the promising 21-year-old midfielder who came through Juventus’ youth system.

Miretti first made his mark with Juventus in March 2022, stepping up from the Juventus Next Gen team during a midfield injury crisis under coach Max Allegri.

Despite his early promise, Juventus has a recent pattern of selling many of its top young talents, including Nicolo Fagioli, Matias Soule, Dean Huijsen, and Radu Dragusin.

Last summer, Miretti was loaned to Genoa, where he impressed, especially after Patrick Vieira took over as coach.

However, Juventus manager Igor Tudor appears unconvinced about Miretti’s role at the club. With the anticipated departure of Douglas Luiz leaving Juventus short in midfield, Miretti still seems unlikely to feature in their future plans.

This situation has caught the attention of Napoli, who are eager to bring Miretti to the Serie A champions.

Giovanni Manna, Napoli’s sporting director, who previously worked with Miretti at Juventus Next Gen, is leading the club’s interest.

According to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato, Napoli have started preliminary discussions with Miretti’s agent, Giovanni Branchini.

Juventus have reportedly set a transfer fee of €15 million, which Napoli consider reasonable and may soon submit a formal offer.

As Miretti looks for a fresh start, Napoli could be the next step in his promising career.
