Juventus make move for Real Sociedad loan standout

Juventus are exploring a potential move for Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd following his impressive loan spell with La Liga side Real Sociedad.
According to Mundo Deportivo, which cites transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian giants have identified Aguerd as a key target for their summer transfer window and have already initiated talks with his parent club, West Ham United.
Aguerd, 28, spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Real Sociedad, making 36 appearances across all competitions and playing a crucial role in the heart of the defense for Imanol Alguacil’s side.
His consistent performances helped the Basque outfit compete strongly in La Liga, but it had long been anticipated that the club would not pursue a permanent deal for the defender.
As interest builds from across Europe, Juventus have emerged as frontrunners to secure Aguerd’s services. Reports suggest the Bianconeri are willing to offer Italian center-back Daniele Rugani as part of a swap deal to lower the cost of the transfer.
With negotiations ongoing, Aguerd’s future looks likely to be decided in the coming weeks. Juventus are keen to strengthen their backline as they prepare for a return to Champions League football, and the addition of an experienced international like Aguerd could be a major boost to their defensive setup.
