Juventus v Next Gen: Match preview, how to watch, team news and probable lineups
Juventus are set to face their Under-23 team, the Next Gen, in an internal friendly at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday evening, with kick-off at 6:30 PM CEST.
This yearly summer tradition will be the first chance for fans to return to the stadium in the 2025/26 season — and it comes just 11 days before the Serie A opener against Parma.
This will be Juve’s third pre-season friendly, in a summer that started later than usual due to their participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Team News
For coach Igor Tudor, tonight’s game is more than just a warm-up. It’s a chance to give valuable minutes to the players he expects to start in the league opener, improve fitness, test tactical setups, and try new combinations.
There could be first Allianz Stadium starts for new signings Jonathan David and Joao Mario. David is set to lead the attack, supported by Kenan Yildiz and Francisco Conceição, who is now a permanent Juventus player after a successful loan spell last season.
One notable change is in defence — Bremer will not be included in the squad, as he continues to manage his recovery after missing most of the 2024/25 season with a serious knee injury (ACL). This opens the door for other defenders to stake their claim in the back three.

The Next Gen, coached by Massimo Brambilla, will bring their brightest young talents, eager to impress against the senior side with high energy and attacking football.
For these youngsters, it’s a rare chance to test themselves against top-level opposition and catch the eye of the first-team staff.
