Douglas Luiz faces Juventus transfer standoff amid Everton and Forest interest
Juventus are reportedly unwilling to allow Douglas Luiz to leave the club on loan this summer, despite interest from Premier League clubs including Nottingham Forest and Everton, reports Daily Mail.
The Brazilian midfielder, who joined Juventus from Aston Villa in June 2024 for a reported €50 million, has struggled to secure a regular starting position, making only three Serie A starts during his debut season.
Premier League clubs have expressed interest in acquiring Luiz, with Nottingham Forest emerging as a potential destination.
Forest are reportedly pushing to finalize a deal for the midfielder, aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season. Everton have also shown interest, with manager David Moyes reportedly keen on bringing Luiz back to England.
However, Juventus are reportedly seeking a permanent transfer or a loan deal with an obligation to buy, rather than a loan without future commitment. The club is reportedly valuing Luiz at approximately €40 million.

Luiz’s time at Juventus has been marred by limited playing time and disciplinary issues. He failed to report for the club’s pre-season training camp earlier this summer, an act that was reportedly considered insubordination by the club’s management.
He has since returned to training and apologized to teammates, coaches, and General Manager Damien Comolli for his actions.
As the transfer window progresses, Juventus are reportedly eager to resolve Luiz’s situation, with the midfielder’s future at the club uncertain.
The club’s management is reportedly keen on recouping a significant portion of their investment in Luiz, and discussions with interested Premier League clubs are expected to continue in the coming weeks.
