One defender leaving Juventus and another coming in.

Juventus has had two defensive changes made today as the revolution under Thiago Motta keeps on moving forward. First Danilo left the club from Juventus as he was not in favour under Thiago Motta. He has only featured in 12 league games racking up under 600 minutes in Serie A.

This lack of gametime has come with a duo of defensive ACL injuries by Juan Cabal and Bremer. Still, he hasn’t been used heavily because he isn’t liked by Thiago Motta. Now he is set to have his contract broken by the club so he can leave.

He will go home to Brazil so that he can play for Flamengo to end his career. This means that he will end his Juventus career with 213 games for the club, his most for any team he’s played for. He has also racked up 9 goals and 14 assists.

Next is Renato Veiga who is set to join Juventus on a 6-month loan from Chelsea. He is a Portuguese left back, who is 20 years old and stands at 190cms. He will wear number 12 taking over another famous left back for Juventus Alex Sandro.

He will be a key rotational player until the end of the season, he will however go back to Chelsea for the club world cup. Veiga’s loan deal has no buy in clause, but a fee could be figured out at the end of the six months.

Chelsea also sees it as the right time to get rid of Veiga so he can develop and get game time. They will also get rid of his wages for the next six months and then also get a loan fee from Juventus for around 4.5 million euros
