PSG hands Juventus huge Kolo Muani transfer boost

Juventus is actively seeking to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani emerging as a prime target.

The French forward has fallen out of favor under PSG manager Luis Enrique, leading to his exclusion from recent matchday squads. This situation has opened the door for a potential move to Turin.

Kolo Muani’s season at PSG has been underwhelming; he has made 14 Ligue 1 appearances, totaling 453 minutes, but has failed to make a significant impact.

Recognizing the strained relationship between player and coach, according to Corriere dello Sport (via Goal Italia) PSG is open to a loan deal, even willing to cover a portion of his €8 million gross salary for the remainder of the season.

Juventus views this as an opportunity to acquire a versatile forward without a substantial financial commitment.

The club had also been monitoring Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, who previously thrived under current Juventus manager Thiago Motta at Bologna.

However, the financial implications of a deal for Zirkzee, potentially requiring a commitment of around €40 million, have made Kolo Muani a more feasible option.

The Bianconeri are in need of attacking reinforcements, especially with Arkadiusz Milik sidelined due to injury.

Adding Kolo Muani would provide a different attacking profile compared to Dusan Vlahovic, offering Motta tactical flexibility.

Additionally, a short-term loan would allow Juventus to reassess their options in the summer, particularly if Kolo Muani’s situation at PSG remains unresolved.

While Juventus is keen on securing Kolo Muani’s services, they face competition from Premier League clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, who are also exploring loan deals for the French international.

Nonetheless, Juventus’s strong relationship with PSG and their willingness to negotiate favorable terms could position them advantageously in this pursuit.
